About the Journal

The International Journal of Sustainable Academic Development (IJSAD) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal focused on informing and developing knowledge and practice that can support sustainability in academic systems, teaching, research, and institutional development. It provides an international forum where researchers, educators, policymakers and academic leaders to explore new approaches to promote long term quality, equity and resilience in education.   IJSAD releases original empirical studies, theoretical and conceptual papers, systematic reviews and policy-focused research on the sustainable academic development at all levels of educational institutions. The journal focuses on the work that incorporates sustainability concepts into curriculum design, pedagogy, research capacity building, governance, digital transformation, and academic leadership. 

In its essence, IJSAD aims at promoting the power of academic ecosystems through fostering the inclusive, ethical, and prospective methods of education and research. The journal maintains scholarship to meet modern concerns in the form of access, equity, quality assurance, staff development, sustainability of funding, innovation in teaching and learning, and responsible use of technology in academic institutions.  IJSAD as an international and multidisciplinary outlet is open to a wide range of disciplinary, cultural, and regional contributions.
