Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to Progress in Engineering, Material Science and Industrial Systems (PEMSIS) are required to follow distinctly stated bibliographic and formatting guidelines to provide uniformity, clarity, and integrity. Submissions must be presented in a formatted format with a title, abstract, keywords, body of body, and references, using a well-established APA academic formatting style.

Any source used has to be referenced appropriately within the text and included in a correctly structured reference list. Writers are advised to employ up to date and pertinent sources with proper attribution of ideas and preventing plagiarism. Books, journal articles, conference papers, and online sources are supposed to be cited using examples of popular citation formats.

Manuscripts are to be composed in a clear, concise academic English with the same formatting of headings, figures, tables, and numbering. The professional has to be original, well structured and follow the ethics of publishing beforehand.

When submitting to the Progress in Engineering, Material Science and industrial systems (PEMSIS), authors must consent to the following copyright conditions as a part of the submission.

Authors own all copyrights to their work. In submitting and publishing in the journal, the authors give PEMSIS the right to publish, reproduce, and distribute the article in any form and media to academic and non-commercial purposes. The authors have the freedom to share, reuse, and archive their published work as long as the original publication in PEMSIS is indicated.

Manuscripts submitted should be original and it is up to the authors to ensure that their work does not violate any extant copyright. Any third-party content used should be duly referenced and where appropriate permission should be sought.
