Aging is an inevitable biological process characterized by progressive physiological decline, increased susceptibility to chronic diseases, and reduced functional capacity. However, aging healthfully remains an achievable goal through strategic lifestyle interventions, particularly participation in sporting activities. This paper examines the role of sporting activities in promoting healthy aging, focusing on physical, psychological, and social health outcomes. Drawing from contemporary literature, the study highlights how regular engagement in sports enhances cardiovascular health, preserves musculoskeletal function, improves mental well-being, and fosters social inclusion among older adults. The paper concludes that structured sporting activities are a critical component of health promotion strategies for aging populations and recommends policy integration and community-based interventions to support active aging.
